From the Desk of the Chief Operations Officer

Today, we proudly celebrate International Women’s Day—a day to recognize the contributions, achievements, and resilience of women everywhere. As Chief Operations Officer of the Transport Board, I am especially proud to lead an organization where women are represented at every level—from the drivers behind the wheel to the general workers, the clerical and administrative teams, the supervisors, managers, and, of course, the executive leadership.

Public transport has long been seen as a male-dominated industry, but at the Transport Board, we have proven that women belong in every role, in every department, and at every decision-making table. Our women are not just present; they are leading, innovating, and driving our company forward—both literally and figuratively.

This year’s International Women’s Day theme, “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment“, reminds us that progress does not happen by chance. It is the result of courage, commitment, and the breaking down of barriers. To the women of the Transport Board, I want to say: Thank you. Your hard work, your perseverance, and your passion keep our buses moving and our communities connected.

Let us continue to support each other, lift each other up, and create even more opportunities for women in public transport. Today, we celebrate—tomorrow, we keep pushing forward!

Happy International Women’s Day!
